- Mojacar is an old Moorish village perched high on the hills, very interesting with many twisting streets and alleyways, steeped in atmosphere……6 miles.
- Garrucha is a fishing village, certainly worth a visit to see the boats return and the fish auctioned in the evening, extensive street market on Fridays.
- Almeria is one hour away and is the provincial capital with good shopping, large harbour and airport……51 miles.
- Bedar is situated in the foothills of the mountain range of the same name it still has the charm and tranquility of bygone days. The panoramic views from Bedar and the countryside around Bedar are exceptionally beautiful.
